According to multiple reports, the Northwest Dutchess County town of Rhinebeck is being eyed as the next location for a potential high-end club, which will be modeled on the Soho Farmhouse in the United Kingdom.
Since opening five years ago, the United Kingdom hotspot has called the Duke and Duchess of Sussex members, as well as George Clooney, David Beckham, and other prominent celebrities.
According to reports, Rhinebeck "facing a celeb invasion" if the town of 8,000 people is chosen as the new destination.
The club includes at least 40 cabins, a seven-bedroom farmhouse, and a four-bedroom cottage. Guests have access to bicycles to travel between various dining venues, there is also a 55-seat art deco-style cinema and a boating lake.
The news of a new Soho Farmhouse in the Hudson Valley comes as hundreds of wealthy residents and celebrities living in busy cities such as Manhattan have fled to the suburbs during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) during “stay at home” orders and continuing remotely working and distance learning.
No timetable has been provided for when a potential Soho farmhouse could come to the Hudson Valley, though a source told Page Six of the possible development, 'It might make the town just a tad less quiet.'
